Market a Green Business at Green Showcases

February 6, 2009

Marketing a new Green business can sometimes be difficult. A great way to promote your bussiness or idea is to attend showcases. There are many showcases in the counrty and around the world. Attending showcases is great for networking and hopefully finding people who are interested in your idea or bussiness.

Fair Green Trade attended its first showcase last year and benefitted from it greatly. The showcase is what got the business on its feet. Fair Green Trade went to ”The Green Dreams 2008″  showcase, which was the largest showcase in Ohio. Fair Green Trade was a sponsor and put their advertisements on everything that was either handed out or shown at the showcase.

This year Fair Green Trade plans on doing it again and hopefully attending showcases around the country whenever it’s possible to attend. Prices for booths at showcases can range from a couple hundred dollars to upwards of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Attending these showcases can be very beneficial for a start up green business or even a green business that has been around for a while. Sometimes for very little money you can attend a showcase where 2,000 to hundreds of thousandas of people will get a look at your green business. At natural food expos on average, there are about 50,00 attendees.

So for all new green start up companies, in my opinion, would be to attend a couple showcases and get your ideas and business out there and then go from there.

New Online Green Directory of Products and Services Launched; Free Listings for Green or Sustainable Businesses Offered on Eco Friendly Website

October 22, 2008

Oct 20, 2008 09:00 ET

BEACHWOOD, Ohio, Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ — Businesses and consumers are continuing to increase their demand for environmentally-friendly products and services. Until now, both groups were spending inordinate amounts of time simply trying to find these items. FairGreenTrade.com (FGT), a new eco-friendly Website featuring a green directory and sustainable offerings (from eco-tourism to energy saving devices to organic food) is now up and running.

A trip to a conventional retailer or shopping will have people spending too much time going up and down aisles or searching through pages and pages on eco friendly Websites to find the products and services they are looking for. Often these items are mixed among more traditional offerings.

FGT is designed to make finding green products or services easy for anyone, whether a beginner or an expert. Simple and intuitive categories have been set up on their green directory, and a vast amount of information is available to educate people about new products, events and initiatives. The FGT acknowledges companies that advocate green ideals and sustainability from organic food manufacturers’ such as Stonyfield yogurt and Amy’s Kitchen to their retailers like Giant Eagle and Kroger to large industrial manufacturers and retailers like GE and Home Depot.

“Putting together this powerful eco friendly Website has been very rewarding primarily because each business we deal with feels proud about their work towards helping the planet,” says FairGreenTrade.com CEO Jeff Weisberg. “The businesses who are listing with us are overwhelmingly supportive of our unique non-political and non-agenda driven mission. We believe everyone wants to help make this world a better place.”

Free basic listings for businesses, as well as paid enhanced listings, are available on FGT’s green directory site. Through aggressive marketing to consumers, businesses and associations, companies listing their products and services in this green directory will be reaching a large portion of their target audience. Companies are invited to go to www.FairGreenTrade.com to take advantage of this offer.

About FairGreenTrade.com

October 8, 2008

With so many cleaning products on a grocer’s shelf, it’s hard to know which ones are the environmentally friendly products for homes. Some manufacturers think going green means simply changing the color of the packaging, which prompts some people to buy it because it’s green.

Planet Inc. manufactures environmentally friendly products for homes. Look for their iconic earth logo in your neighborhood grocery market and other retail stores.

Look for the following Planet Inc., environmentally friendly products for homes:
Ultra Dishwashing Liquid is not just for washing dishes, but also is safe to use on your car, dog, and as a shampoo and bodywash. This dishwashing liquid contains no additives like fragrances or dyes and is 100% biodegradable thus making it more environmentally friendly for your homes.

Ultra Laundry Detergent also contains no perfumes, dyes, enzymes, which often cause skin irritation. This laundry detergent is more concentrated, so you actually use less of the product and less packaging. Planet’s Ultra Laundry Detergent does not contain optical brighteners, which is a chemical that sticks to clothes to make them appear brighter, but often cause skin irritations.
